This delicious rice and mushrooms recipe makes a great side dish, complementing the dark date glaze on the chicken skins with its brownish tint.

An alternative supporting side dish could be this baked potato slices recipe that is made with the sauce left in the chicken pan , or for a more casual setting, you could add these baby potato halves that are just as quickly and easily prepared.

Both date honey chicken’s 5 minute preparation and the same 5 minute preparation of the baby potato halves, make the entire process a jiffy.
